The new portal for “Blogger” law is launched

Russian association of electronic communications (RAEC) has launched internet site, dedicated to the discussion of the new “blogger” law, coming into effect August 1, 2014.

On the portal blogger.ru is possible to know the detailed description of the law, rights and responsibilities of bloggers, to find answers on essential questions. Rambler&Co, LiveJournal, TheRunet.com and other market participants took part in the creating of the project.

It is to be recalled that Federal law dated 05.05.2014 #97-FZ obliges bloggers, which audience includes more than 3000 persons in 24 hours to reveal on their pages their real names and contact information. It is prohibited for them to publish messages, which could be considered as a call for terrorism and extremism, revealing the National security information, invasion of privacy and defamation of business reputation.
